Mirzapur Charter:

  1. The constituency should be developed and the voice of the people must be heard
  2. Unemployment must be removed
  3. The Member of Parliament must walk alongside the people
  4. The Member of Parliament must not be partial to any one community
  5. The Member of Parliament should be literate
  6. Schools for girls must be opened in the gram panchayat
  7. We will not support a Member of Parliament who comes to us only for votes and is not seen for the rest of the term
  8. Employment oriented education must be provided for youth
  9. Youth are ‘used’ in the election process but their needs are not met
  10. Training centre catering to the intellectual and emotional development of youth must be created
  11. A mini-stadium must be created in our constituency
  12. The Member of Parliament must give attention to building health, education and infrastructure in the village. Hospitals and Sanitation facilities must be created
  13. The Member of Parliament must have a clean image and must not be involved in any criminal activities. S/he must be known to at least 50 per cent of the constituency.
  14. The Member of Parliament must not engage in any activities which would be adverse to the constituency
  15. We will demand a ‘Promisory Note’ from each candidate so that they cannot divert from their agenda after the elections.
